COVID-19: O-I’s Commitment to Customers

O-I Glass, Inc. is committed to maintaining the health and safety of our employees, and supporting our customers. 

Like many of you, as the COVID-19 situation continues to evolve rapidly, O-I Glass, Inc. is committed to maintaining the health and safety of our employees, and supporting our customers. We wanted to share some of the actions we are taking to help reduce the spread of the virus and mitigate business risks.

  • The majority of our office employees are working from home.
  • Where on-site work is required, employees are applying social distancing and preventative safe hygiene practices.   
  • Each of our facilities are undertaking more frequent and comprehensive cleaning and disinfection.
  • Business travel and plant/site visits have been suspended until further notice. 

O-I’s Global Leadership Team is meeting daily along with a dedicated global COVID-19 Crisis Management Team to review and assess various government directives and guidance from the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and provide direction as needed.

As a supplier to essential industries (food and beverages), we are working to ensure we maintain production. If any supply issues arise, we will certainly contact you. As well, we encourage you, to reach out to O-I if you experience any disruptions related to our supply chain.

This is an unprecedented time for everyone so two-way communication will be key to help ensure business continuity.
