Yoplait, owned jointly by US-based General Mills and French dairy Sodiaal, is the largest franchise brand of yogurt and has a global portfolio of products in over 50 countries.
In late 2015, Yoplait was looking to refresh the look of its premium yogurt ‘Saveurs D’Autrefois’.
Having used a coated 177ml stoneware clay jar for several years, the company desired a new high-quality, decorated glass packaging solution that offered greater sustainability and cost benefits.
The new pack offered Yoplait a high-quality solution, which combined a beautiful glass jar, produced in Puy-Guillaume, with sleeve decoration, applied in nearby Innoval. The new sleeve provided Yoplait with both a premium look and flexibility, allowing for easy customisation for limited editions. The new jar also had increased sustainability, as the sleeve could be easily removed for recycling and production has a low carbon footprint due to the short distance between the two plants.
