This original and unique work illustrates the infinite possibilities offered by O-I : EXPRESSIONS thanks to direct-to-glass digital printing.

La “Cité du vin” in Bordeaux, the Mecca of wine culture and civilization, welcomes from March 15 to June 30, 2019 a spaceship imagined and developed by designer matali crasset in partnership with O-I.

This work was presented for the first time at the Eiffel Tower in September 2018 for the launch of O-I : EXPRESSIONS, an innovating service to differentiate glass packaging with speed and ease.

Enabled by digital printing, O-I : EXPRESSIONS allows brands to create affordable, highly customized glass packaging at flexible volumes, industrial-speed, with a range of colors and unprecedented design possibilities. With O-I : EXPRESSIONS, brands will be better able to meet growing consumer demand for customized and "bespoke" products. Brands are able to quickly develop packaging for short campaigns, seasonal promotions or limited editions / special editions to celebrate major events.

Seduced by the creative and innovative character of this spaceship, La Cité du vin proposed to O-I to exhibit this work as part of the temporary exhibition "Mind-blowing! When art and design take on glass" taking place in Bordeaux from March 15 to June 30, 2019.
